G.E.A.R. (Get Etched And Retain)

This is a free bike-marking scheme, which etches a unique number on to the frame of the bike together with a free phone number. This information is then stored on a secure database that can be accessed by the Police so that if the bike is stolen and then recovered the owner can be traced. The owner is also issued with a logbook – just like the DVLA does.

Property Marking Kits

Together with the other crime prevention panels we have purchased property-marking kits, which are kept in the libraries within Rhondda Cynon Taff. You can go along to any of the libraries and check out a kit just like you would a book. We have also given them to the Community 1st offices and neighbourhood watches throughout the Rhondda. For further information ring 01443 743821.

S.A.S. (Security Auto-crime Service)

Together with the other crime prevention panels we are offering a free etching service to all car owners in Rhondda-Cynon-Taff. For further information please ring 01685 886915 or 01443 743821.
